Does God wants His people to get rich? -Joyce Meyer

The Power of a Wise, Committed Lifeby Joyce Meyer When I was interviewed by Timemagazine once, the interviewer asked me, “Does God want people to be rich?” I knew that simply saying yes or no would get me in trouble, so I explained it like this: “God wants His people to have everything they can handle and keep Him first in their lives, be a blessing to other people and keep a good attitude.” He then said, “So youdobelieve God wants people to have possessions and material wealth.” I said, “Yes, if they can handle it.” So he challenged me with this question: “What do you tell the housewife whose husband has left her, she has three kids, the refrigerator is broken down, the car is broken down, and she doesn’t have your life? What do you tell her?” I said, “I tell her to do the same thing I did: Don’t quit and don’t give up. Persevere and keep doing what God is telling you to do, and little by little, you will get where you want to be.” It Didn’t Just Happen Overnight We descend into a list of troubles a little bit at a time, not all at once. We get into messes in our lives through years of making bad choices. And we can’t expect to get our lives straightened out overnight. Yes, God is a miracle-working God, and He can fix our problems in a moment if He wants to. But it usually doesn’t happen that way. It wouldn’t be good for us if He just waved a magic wand over us and fixed our messes instantaneously. If He did, we wouldn’t learn anything and would just do it all over again. The way we get out of trouble is through learning how to make right choices. And if we make wise decisions and do what God tells us to do, we’ll have what He says we can have. The Truth About Blessings and Who Gets Them Now, the blessings are not just stuff. The world is full of people who have a lot of money, yet they’re miserable anyway. God wants to bless His children so we can have the abundant life Jesus died to give usand so we can be a blessing to others, not just so we can have stuff. Deuteronomy 30:19has a simple message: Do what God tells you to do, and you’ll be blessed. Don’t do what He tells you to do, and you won’t be blessed. I want you to really hear what I’m saying: The promises of God are for “whosoever will,” and not just a select group of people. If you will obey God’s direction for your life and trust Him, you will have what God says you can have. The Way to Get Out of the Mess You’re In Whatever your mess is, be determined to do what’s right so you can see good results, no matter how long it takes. God is faithful to His Word. The key is being committed to obey God. And being committed requires diligence, perseverance, dedication, fortitude and patience. Make up your mind that youcanget out of the trouble you’re in. Your financial situation can be turned around. Your marriage can change and improve. You can have a healthy body. You can have peace and joy. You can have a great relationship with God.Jesus said He came so we might have and enjoy our life. He wants us to have peace, joy and freedom from worry and anxiety. As we really love God and seek Him, He will give us His wisdom and show us the path of the blessed life we can have in Christ.

This is how my parable begins. Let me call him John. John had a double story house, five plus five rooms. One day there was a gentle knock on the front door. When John opened it was the Lord Jesus. “Please come in”, John pleaded, “I will give you the best room in my house – it is upstairs. Well, Jesus is a gentleman and said “thank you”. The next morning someone hammered against the front door. When John opened it who was there? The devil. “No” shouted John, “I don’t want you here” But the devil said “I’m already in” – and a big fight started. Satan poured filthy temptation on him, it was horrible. By the evening John somehow got the victory and threw the devil out. Then he said “wait a minute”. I gave Jesus the best room in the house, why didn’t he come to my rescue?” Jesus said to John “Look, you gave me one of the ten rooms…” John was on his knees and said “I can see my mistake. Sorry, Lord. Let’s make 50/50.” Jesus is a gentleman and accepted. The next day was a repeat of the day before. Somehow the devil got in and out and John was totally exhausted. “Why didn’t Jesus come to my rescue today? I need to go and ask.” The Lord said “My son, why don’t you give me all 10 rooms and then, instead of me staying with you, you stay with me?” John broke down. He pulled the key of the front-door from his pocket and handed it to Jesus. Now, he had given it all. The next morning, it was still dark, when someone was knocking at the front door so hard that the whole building shook. John jumped frightened and shaken out of bed crying “O, it’s the devil again”, when suddenly he heard footsteps – but this time inside the house. Jesus was marching in majesty and power towards the front door. He had the key. It now was His duty to answer the door. John was wondering what would happen and stood right behind Jesus when the Lord opened the door wide. Who was it? The devil of course. But when the devil saw Jesus standing in the door he bowed low, very low indeed, and said “Sorry Sir, I knocked on the wrong door!” Some have given 9 rooms to Jesus and on the door of room number 10 they have written “Strictly Private”. It is there where they have their secret sins and live their double life. But Jesus cannot be cheated. C’mon. Let’s sing it together from the bottom of our hearts “Unto Jesus I surrender, unto Him I freely give….I surrender ALL, unto thee my God and Savior, I surrender all.” This is my foolproof recipe for victory! Does it speak to you? Please let me know. God bless you.

Era Of The Dispensation Of The Spirit

Believers! Know ye that we're in the era of the dispensation of the spirit. Christ came to give us life,a life in abundance, but He said He said on the cross "IT'S FINISHED" . Here, Christ understood the principle and the plan of the Father that He has to die to pay for wages of our sins as the scripture says: "the wages of sin is death" so that we might be commended as righteous folks to receiving the promise of the Father #the #Holyghost. Christ died for us to receive Him (Holy Ghost) that He might comfort and help us when we are weary and tired on our journey to the eternal home of God. Ever wonder why He (Christ) was so anxious to release unto his disciples the gift of the Holyghost when He first appeared after His resurrection, all because He knew it was for this reason He died.First, to take away our sins and secondly that we might receive this same promise from God. Christ also knew that it is only through this #promise we can overcome as He did and so that we might reign with Him in his kingdom atlas The key thing is that aside the holy spirit as a helper, comforter, teacher etc, God still wants us to have a taste of his Kingdom here on earth as the scripture says that the kingdom of God is not meat and drink ,but for righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy ghost. God indeed, is a spirit so also the heavenly beings and those who worship Him must do that in truth and in spirit because these are the set of worshippers God seeketh after and this correlates with His plan for we the new testament believers So how often do we rely on this breath of God and the power therein? #THE HOLY GHOST. Do you even know Him as friend who helps you to pray and bear your infirmities? Do not waste the grace of God, He is so closed to you than you ever think or imagine, the spirit of christ , the power in the word, the holder of the key to eternal life. Do you know Him? Stop using your strength and energy to please and Serve God, stop wasting grace. Tonight, God is calling you to come to the school of the spirit, forget your pride and hearken unto the master's call. Invite the holy ghost to come and take charge of your life, He wants to help you so much but He can do but nothing unless you invite Him into your life. Come now, tarry not , let Him replace your religion mentality with a lasting relationship with God so that you will no longer depend on your ability but of Him Out of God's love for mankind, He still wants to walk in man again, dine and whine with them as He did when He first created them. But how do we access all these if we keep disallowing the working of His spirit in us The era of Moses, Elijah etc is gone, we are in the era of the spirit(the new law) God bless you!

How much of obedience of God do you have?

Many a time we pray needless prayers and fast in futility only because we fail to understand the plans and thoughts of God towards us t He has called into his precious light. God has not called us into a miserable life, but with power, He has called us into joy, peace and that we might enjoy the fulness of his glory so that the weight of His might heavily fall on us that we might walk therein His thoughts for us are always of peace and not of evil to give us an expected and a glorifying end as the book of Jeremiah says. God wants to show forth his praise in those He has called. There are numerous benefits and blessings that are kept, prepared and made available for those He has called but how do we tab into all these If we fail to hearken unto the master's direction, principles, guidelines and laws through that most dangerous word in the Bible ‪#‎ DISOBEDIENCE‬God expects us to have full obedience in Him that his thoughts and plans for us might manifest. God so much love the people of the israelite that He has committed every good thing into their hands but they lost everything in a twinkle of an eye because of their disobedience Jesus christ pointed it clearly that those that love him and those people who keep his commandments and hearken unto his laws(obedience) The spirit of God was not given to us as a way of showing off but that through Him the obedience of God of God might so richly duel in us that we might be applauded faithful stewards to God In theology, the word Disobedience is the most dangerous word in the bible and those who are victims of it are always miserable and useless before God and man. Lot's wife disobeyed, the israelites did, infact the genesis of sin, was is it not by this same word of disobedience when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit? ... to be continued...

BE GRATEFUL - 30/03/2014

Yesterday’s message was titled“PRAYER: IN WHAT DIRECTION? ”.Today’s message is titled“BE GRATEFUL”as provided by Pastor E. A. Adeboye in Open Heavens Devotional (Adeboye, 2014). In today’s message, we have been asked to memoriseLuke 17:15: "And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice gloriļ¬ed God "and readLuke 17:12-19. The Bible in one year for today has been taken fromEzekiel 30:20 to Ezekiel 32:32 and Psalm 73:1-17.(Adeboye, 2014). Quoted below is today's message for our usual discussion . God bless you all in Jesus Name, amen. It is not a big deal for God to perform miracles in the life of anybody. The problem that hinders the working of miracles lies with the children of men and is multifaceted in nature. It has to do with ignorance of what the Almighty is capable of doing and lack of faith among others. However, there is one problem that seems insignificant to many people but is a big hindrance to the manifestation of God's power: It is ingratitude! Many times I have to compel people to clap in praise of the Almighty God when fantastic testimonies are being given during our big meetings. This problem is evident in the story of the ten lepers. Jesus in Luke 17:17”-18 asked in dismay: ”Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.” Though all of the ten lepers were cleansed, only one was made perfectly whole! Why? The faith of the nine was lopsided! They had faith that Jesus Christ could heal them; that was why they cried to him for help in the first place. Unfortunately, their faith did not go beyond receiving their miracles, hence they discharged themselves prematurely! Instead of coming to show gratitude to the One who healed them and get their healing certified by the lnfallible High Priest as required by the law of Moses (Leviticus 14:1 -4), they went their own various ways. But to the one that returned to show gratitude, Jesus in Luke 1 7:19 said: ”Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” In other words, Jesus perfected the leper's healing and certified him permanently healed. Showing gratitude is one secret to receiving perfect miracles. You should show gratitude to the one and only Miracle Worker, Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. Let us cultivate the habit of worshiping God for Who He is, thanking Him for what He has done in the past, in anticipation of what He will continue to do. Never trivialise even the miracle of sleeping and waking. Like I often tell members of our church, when you see people who can't use the toilet or ease themselves without the aid of medical gadgets, you will know how to praise and thank God. The good thing about being grateful to God is that you receive more blessings from the one from whom all blessings flow. One way of saying thank you to God for His providence is by paying your tithes according to Malachi 3:10. God bless you as you obey today in Jesus‘ Name. Today's action point is to Count your blessings before God and appreciate Him for them. I pray that as we appreciate God today, He will move to do the miraculous in our lives in Jesus Name. God bless you all. Wishing you a fulfilling service in church today. Reference: Adeboye, E. A. (2014) Open Heavens: A Guide to Close Fellowship with God, Volume 14, 2014. Nigeria: Open
Is It Right to Judge?
Key verse: But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.(1 Corinthians 2:15)
How many times have you heard someone whine, "Judge not, that ye be not judged?" This verse of Scripture from Matthew 7:1 is often quoted out of context by people who are terrified at the idea of someone preaching against sin or pointing out any form of error in anyone, especially in themselves.
As I stood in a voting line one day I overheard a woman justifying her foolish choice for president by saying, "Well, we aren't supposed to judge." Imagine that! Choosing NOT to judge a political candidate on election day! No wonder our nation is in such a mess!
As for Matthew 7:1, the context (verses 1-5) allows judging after you have first judged YOURSELF. Jesus did not make a blanket statement against judgment. He simply pointed out a RULE for judging.
Now, the word "judge" in its various forms (judgeth, judging, judgment, judges, etc) is found over 700 times in God's word. One whole book of the Bible is titled "Judges" for it was written at a time when God raised up judges to lead His people.
As we are about to see, God EXPECTS His people to judge. In fact, you are sinning against God if you refuse to judge! (Read that again, please)
God Expects Us to Judge
"The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment." (Psa. 37:30) A righteous person will talk of judgment. He will not REFUSE to judge. He will talk judgment.
"Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph." (Amos 5:14-15) How can you hate the evil and love the good if you refuse to judge? You can't. You are SINNING when you refuse to judge.
Our generation is well described in Isaiah 59:8: "The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace." People have refused to judge, so there is no peace.
Paul said in I Corinthians 1:10 to ". . . be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." Why would Paul make such a statement if judging is wrong? In I Corinthians 2:15 Paul says, "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." Judging is not a sin; judging is a characteristic of being a spiritual person! Satan has been lying to us, hoping that we will NOT judge, because he knows that the right kind of judgment PLEASES God and betters our lives and Christian service.
Someone says, "But should we judge PEOPLE?" Yes, we certainly should. Paul actually REBUKES the Corinthians for NOT judging: "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" (I Cor. 6:1-5) If judging is wrong, then Paul needs to confess and repent for misleading these Christians! He clearly told them to JUDGE PEOPLE.
If judging people is wrong, how can we obey Romans 16:17-18? II Corinthians 6:17? II Timothy 3:5-6? I John 4:1? Friend, if judging is wrong, then God has contradicted Himself and His words cannot be trusted!
Notice Malachi 3:18: "Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." WOW! Does that sound like it is wrong to judge?
What about Revelation 2:2? " I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:" Why would the Lord be pleased with these Christians if judging was wrong? Is it not impossible to find someone a "liar" without judging them?
If the Bible is clear about anything, it is clear about the importance of judging on a regular basis in order to properly serve and honor God. To ignore this fact is to ignore all of the Scripture just presented and also the rest of the Bible. God expects us to judge.
God's Rules for Judging
Now I do not wish to imply that we should spend all of our time judging. Sometimes people judge when they have no business doing so. In John 7:24 Jesus tells us to judge RIGHTEOUS judgment. This can only be done by following the rules that God has established in His word. Here follow seven good rules from Scripture:
Judge Scripturally
Isaiah 8:20 says, "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Our standard is God's word, not our feelings, our traditions, or our opinions. Right and wrong should always be determined by God's word.
Don't Judge When God's Word Is Silent
If God's word is silent about a subject, then you may not have to judge at all. Don't rush to judgment on an issue when the Bible says very little or is silent about it. Don't make more of a matter than God makes of it. A good example of this is found in Colossians 2:16: "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" That is, these are not subjects of great importance today, so let's not make these great issues of judgment.
Pray for Good Judgement Ability
When Solomon received his kingdom he asked God to "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" (I Kings 3:9) James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." We should pray for good judgment ability.
Don't Respect Persons
Proverbs 24:23 says, "These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment." Treat all parties fairly without favoring anyone, such as family members or friends. A truly fair judge is blind and deaf to any outer influence. (Isa. 42:1, 19-21)
Judge in Truth
Do not judge another when you do not have all the relevant facts. Jeremiah 5:1 says, "Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it." A true judge is one who seeks the truth. If you must judge, be sure and get all the facts. A Japanese proverb says to "search seven times before you judge."
Judge Mercifully
Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:2: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." You'll reap what you sow (Gal. 6:7-8). If you are swift and harsh in judging others, then God will see to it that you receive the same from others. Has God not been very merciful to you, even though you deserved it not? Likewise, you should exercise mercy toward others.
Don't Forget to Judge Yourself
I Corinthians 11:30-31: "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged." If you are a true Christian, then you belong to God. You are God's child. If you refuse to judge and improve yourself as a child of God, then God will take it upon Himself to judge you. Many of the troubles that we face in life are nothing more than God's way of judging us since we often neglect to judge ourselves.
Wouldn't it be amazing if every Christian actually took time to judge themselves before judging anyone else? In Matthew 7:4-5, Jesus says, " Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." A good judge will not fail to judge himself.
